The Division of Pulmonary strives to provide a stimulating and well-rounded educational experience for junior and senior medical students as well as pediatric residents.  Member of the division have many years of experience in providing care to children with all forms and severity of chronic respiratory disease.  Through collaboration with the division of Gastroenterology, Otolaryngology and Allergy/Immunology we strive to deliver the best family-centered, community-oriented cutting edge pediatric pulmonary.  Members of the division operate a state of the art pulmonary function testing service which included the use of spirometry, body plethysmography, infant pulmonary testing, impulse oscillometry, cold air challenge (altitude challenge test), exercise testing and exercise laryngoscopy.  We are an accredited Pediatric Cystic Fibrosis Center caring for over 100 pediatric and adult patients with cystic fibrosis.  We are participating in the Fundamentals-Learning and Leadership Collaborative sponsored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  We currently see patients at the Robert B. Green Clinical Pavilion and at University Hospital.

The UTHSCSA Cystic Fibrosis Center strives to empower persons with CF and their families to care for their disease through the provision of evidence based, state of the art care, participation in clinical research, and through life long education with the ultimate goal of enhancing the quality of life and survival of our patients.  Care is delivered in an environment that is respectful of individual beliefs and life circumstances.
