Residency
The UT Health Science Center at San Antonio Department of Pediatrics Residency Program is committed to the highest standards for education and clinical care. The goal of the residency program is to train physicians to become competent general pediatricians with sufficient background in the subspecialties and critical care to manage the broad mix of general pediatric and subspecialty problems. With our proximity to the U.S./Mexico border, residents have opportunities to treat children with illnesses they would not see in other parts of the country and manage health problems that have become increasingly common in children such as Type 2 diabetes.
