Dr. Janae Strickland, PGY-5
I grew up all over the US (have lived in 8 states total) but call Washington state home. I went to medical school at AZCOM in Phoenix AZ and then came to UTHSCSA in San Antonio for residency. I did a chief year here from 2016-2017 and now am in fellowship also at UTHSCSA in Pediatric Critical Care. It’s really the people that make this program so great. There is never attending vs fellow, it’s just colleagues working together to help make lives of children better. Plus they are all wicked smart and continue to teach me on the regular. It’s a wonderful place to train.

Dr. Megan Foster, PGY-4
I grew up in San Antonio and stayed for college and medical school. I did residency at Scott & White in Temple, TX and returned home for fellowship. On my interview day, I appreciated the cohesive feeling among the faculty and fellows along with the value placed on education. I recently got married and enjoy spending time with my husband, my family, and my labradoodle. I love trying new restaurants, playing volleyball, and watching sports (usually the Spurs).
